OCTCET35® treated diesel has been tested by more than 21 labs in the USA, Canada, Europe, South Africa and Honduras in accordance with various International Test Protocols including ASTM D975, AEM and ISO Standards, as well as accredited and renowned drive cycles in order to measure the diesel fuel properties.
ASTM D975 tests are performed to ensure diesel used in equipment complies with International Diesel Fuel Property and Emissions Standards, as well as Manufacturers' Specifications.
The international ASTM's petroleum standards are instrumental in the evaluation and assessment of the physical, mechanical, rheological, thermal, and chemical properties of diesel fuels and occurring energy resources used for various industrial applications. Fuels are tested for their composition, purity, density, miscibility and compatibility with other fluids and materials, toxicity, and thermal stability among others. These standards are in place to ensure quality meets safe and efficient use standards and requirements.
In all scientific lab tests, different grades of diesel fuel varying in Cetane Number were treated with OCTCET35®. The properties that were tested in OCTCET35® treated diesel include in accordance with the ASTM D975 standards include: Pour Point, Cloud Point, Flash Point, Volatility, Cetane Number and Index, Sulfur Content, Viscosity, Density, Water and Sediment Content, Ash Content, Carbon Residue, Corrosivity, Long-Term Storage Stability, Lubricity, Distillation, Boiling Point, High Frequency Reciprocating Wear Rig (HFRR), Conductivity. Results from these labs were compared with the diesel fuel properties specifications of several OEMs such; as Caterpillar (CAT), Electro Motive Diesel (EMD), Cummins, John Deere, Detroit Diesel,GE Transportation (General Electric), Union Pacific (UP) and Mercedes Benz.
OCTCET35® treated diesel complies with the published specifications, standards and requirements.
